Matt has served as the Senior Pastor of FBCG since April of 2018. He and his wife Virginia have four children, Olen (9) and Emmie (3) and twins, Lyla and Graham (1). Matt holds an M.Div from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary and a D.Min in Expository Preaching from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. Matt has a deep passion for preaching the Word of God and making disciples for the Kingdom of God. In his spare time he enjoys hanging out with family, traveling, photography, and enjoying God's creation outdoors.

Dr. Steve Hamrick was called as worship pastor December 4, 2022. Previously he served as interim worship pastor since March. Prior to FBCG, Steve served as the Associate Pastor of Music at Brandon Baptist. From 2007 to 2019 Steve served as the Director for Worship and Technologies for the Illinois Baptist State Association (Convention). In 1981 Steve graduated with a B.A.E. in Music Education. He attended New Orleans Seminary, graduating in 1986 with a M.C.M degree. He received his D.W.S. degree in 2018 from the Webber Institute for Worship. 

In his spare time, you will find Steve on a lake or in the woods.

In addition to serving as worship pastor, Steve is also an adjunct instructor at William Carey University. Steve is married to Linda who is the pianist at FBCG. They have 3 grown children and 8 grandchildren. Steve can be reached at shamrick@fbcgreenville.net
