Well, we finally got to a decent internet connection. Here’s a few pics from the past few days…

This is me, having a blast driving the RV!

This is a rough looking bunch, but boy do they know how to have fun.

Madeline enjoying the RV experience.

I didn’t know these windmills were so tall!!

A longtime dream fulfilled…to visit the gravesite of Billy the Kid.

We couldn’t pass by this national treasure.

The Park Service really knows how to put on some “rock and roll.” (LOL)

The Painted Desert. Very pretty.

Caught in motion. We practiced a lot of fun in the snow.

More fun in the snow…this time with a stick.

One grand family at the Grand Canyon.

More Canyon shots.

And still more shots…

This one is a personal favorite. The Canyon at sunset.

Like father, like son.
I’ve always known God is big but you get a new perspective when you see first-hand the Grand Canyon. Almost a mile deep and with limitless beauty at every turn, you can’t help think, “This is what happens when God paints!”
I’m also updating status and uploading pics on facebook. Send me friend request. if I know you, I’ll accept your request. search for James Nichols in Greenville, MS.

Limited Internet signal. More videos to come as soon as the signal allows.
As I write this I lying in bed. We’re in Grants, NM. We arrived at the RV park late last night–around 10 pm Mountain Time.
We were all worn out. It’s a good thing. Because the temp dropped to 19 degrees last night. The wind rocked our RV back and forth. To truly appreciate our circumstance, you would have to be here.
But we’re thankful…that Wal-mart sells electric heaters! I’m going to buy one today and then sleep in every pair of clothes I brought cause it’s supposed to get even colder at the Grand Canyon tonight!!!!!
Just when you think your schedule has been blown because you decided to take that photo op at Billy the Kid’s gravesite, you remember you’re traveling in an RV. What makes that so great, you ask? They have showers on board!
Have you ever taken a shower going 65 mph? Well, my kids have now. Who said driving and crying was the only way get wet?
Well, we made it from Terrell, TX, to Abilene, TX safely. We picked up the RV in Rockwall and Lauren Kelly in Fort Worth. I’ve got to say, it’s interesting driving a 31 ft. RV!
So far, everyone is getting along great…(this is code for 8 fights, 5 cry sessions for pity, 2 marital fights over directions, and 1 very happy James who is living a lifelong dream!). In all seriousness, it’s been a dream-come-true day.
I’m throwing in a picture of the view we got coming into the “Big D.”
