Testing, 1, 2, 3…
So, now I’m blogging. Â I’ve been dragged kicking and screaming into the 21st Century. Â As if email, text messaging, and cell phones were not enough, now I’m blogging. Â
What’s the point of it all, you ask? Â Well, there’s no point really. Â Just an open and authentic conversation about Christianity. Â As I ride down the road, I often think out loud and sometimes those thoughts are a raw examination of our faith. Â I thought you’d like to get inside my head and join the conversation, but since that’s impossible (and you should be glad that’s impossible) I thought I’d give you the next best alternative. Â That’s right…a blog.
So, welcome to “Think Outloud.” Â I look forward to your comments as we take an authentic look at Christianity.

Aw Right! I can say I was first in something as it seems I am the first to answer this blog. I think it is a great idea. Yesterday’s sermon was just what some of us needed to hear. As usual, I know some people who need to hear that sermon.:-) God has given us so much to be thankful for this Thanksgiving.

This blog is another one of the many, many examples of a church with a pastor who is willing to head out in new directions. God has blessed First Baptist Church, Greenville, MS with your leadership.

Hey, everyone. I want First Baptist, Greenville, to know that I watch your services on DVD (and hopefully soon streaming live on the internet) and am so thankful for a group of believers that not only pray, but actually get up and put feet to their prayers. I am already praying for your upcoming mission trips. Recently, I sat at the bedside of an elderly friend who told me that he was a great big sinner! His final words to me were “I have an even greater and bigger Savior!” Please keep me in your prayers as I keep you in mine!

I’ve never blogged before and I don’t have a website. I just want to say that when our group was standing with you for communion tonight, my thoughts were on Galatians that I had just finished studying this afternoon. Just how much Paul wanted the Galatians to remember that Jesus had freed them from the slavery of the law with his blood shed on the cross. How thankful I am that His grace has set me free!
